Hydraulic tube mills are also used to weld pipes. These combine the power of wet line and the power of gravity. As the wire rolls along the pipe, it pushes on the weld, which causes it to be pulled into the pipe. As the wire pulls on the weld, it pushes on the flange of the pipe, and this pulls the entire weld into the pipe. These types of tube mills produce high-quality welds with minimal distortion and minimal heat distortion. The term “tube” refers to the innermost tube in the assembly.
